Flashcards from your QuizQrusher question CSV. See the question, recall the answer, then rate how it went: spaced repetition brings each card back just before you'd forget it.
CwikCard v ·
Drop in a question CSV, the same file QuizQrusher uses. Each question becomes a card: the question on the front and its correct answer on the back. A CwikCard backup, or a QuizQrusher backup with its question banks, works here too.
CwikCard turns a question CSV into flashcards and schedules them with spaced repetition, the way Anki does: each time you see a card you rate how well you remembered it, and that rating decides when you see it next.
Category, Question_Text, Option_1 … Option_6, Correct_Option_Number. Every row of the CSV becomes one note. Its question goes on the front, its correct option on the back, and its category becomes the card's tag. The other options are kept too: Settings > Studying can show all the answer choices on the front (multiple-choice style) or list them on the back.
| Rating | Use it when | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Again 1 | You forgot or got it wrong | The card comes back in this session, and its next interval shrinks. |
| Hard 2 | You got it, with real effort | A shorter step than Good. |
| Good 3 | You got it after a moment's thought | The normal next step. Use this most of the time. |
| Easy 4 | It was instant | A bigger jump, so you see the card less often. |
The small times under the buttons show when you'll see the card again for each choice. New cards first go through short learning steps (by default 1 and 10 minutes) before they graduate to days. A forgotten review card goes through relearning steps the same way.
Each deck shows at most 20 new cards a day by default, so a big deck is spread over days instead of buried in one sitting. Change the limits in the deck's options, or press Learn more new cards when you finish. The day rolls over at 4 AM (Settings > Studying), so a late-night session still counts as today.
Pick a scheduler for each deck in its options. You can switch at any time; cards keep their due dates.
Like Anki, intervals of a few days or more get a little random fuzz so cards learned together don't all come due on the same day. A card you keep forgetting (8 lapses by default) is a leech: it's tagged so you can find it in Browse, or suspended if you set the deck to do that.
Practice round runs through cards without touching their schedule, for cramming before an exam or drilling a weak category. Choose which cards (all, flagged, ones you've struggled with, never studied, or missed today), which categories, the direction (or mixed), and how many. Cards are shuffled with the same shuffle engine QuizQrusher uses for questions, which never repeats the previous order. With Repeat missed cards on, a card you miss comes back a few cards later until you get it.
| Key | Action |

| Space or Enter | Show the answer; once it's shown, rate Good (Got it in a practice round) |
| 1 2 3 4 | Again, Hard, Good, Easy (in a practice round: 1 Missed it, 3 Got it) |
| Z or Ctrl+Z | Undo the last answer, bury or suspend |
| F or * | Flag or unflag the card |
| B | Bury: hide the card until tomorrow |
| S or @ | Suspend: hide the card until you unsuspend it in Browse |
| E | Edit the card |
| + and - | Bigger or smaller card text |

On a phone or tablet, tap the card to show the answer, then swipe it right for Good or left for Again (Got it or Missed it in a practice round), or use the buttons. Swipes can be turned off in Settings.
.json file; Settings > Data > Export all saves every deck and your settings. Bring either back with Add a deck. Use them to move to another device or browser. On the hosted site, CwikCard can be installed like an app and then opens without an internet connection. In Chrome or Edge, use the install icon at the right end of the address bar. On an iPhone or iPad, in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. When a new version is out you'll see "A new version of CwikCard is ready": press Reload.
The down arrow next to the CwikCard name opens a menu of the other study apps: QuizQrusher for practice quizzes, and InfoBase for searching your slides and textbooks. Home, at the bottom, goes to the study apps homepage.
